The Atlanta Chapter of NARI Presents Its First Annual Tour of Remodeled Homes
Benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Georgia & Alabama, Saturday, Oct. 2
Metro Mechanical to Sponsor Tour of Remodeled Homes Throughout the Metro Area
The Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has announced its first annual NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes, presented by Metro Mechanical. Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, the tour will feature
remodeled homes throughout the metro Atlanta area and will showcase a variety of improvements, additions and innovations built by members of the Atlanta NARI chapter. Tour tickets are $10 in advance or $15 the day of the Tour, and may be purchased at www.nariatlanta.org beginning in mid-August or at any of the homes on the Tour. Five percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Georgia & Alabama chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. In addition to Metro Mechanical, official Tour sponsors include MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc., Insidesign, the Atlanta Home Show and Atlanta Home Improvement magazine.
NARI is the only national association dedicated exclusively to the remodeling industry. Members are committed to providing consumers with the best possible solutions for remodeling their homes, and conduct their work in compliance with NARI’s code of ethics. The Atlanta chapter is one of the most active chapters in the country and is headquartered in Woodstock, Ga.
“The NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes is a new way for our organization to showcase the professionalism and creativity of our members,” said Mark Buelow, CEO of Distinctive Remodeling Solutions and president of NARI Atlanta. “Our members are experts at renovations, additions and upgrades. If a homeowner is interested in adding or modernizing a kitchen or bath, making renovations to accommodate multi-generational living, creating a more energy-efficient home or simply beautifying the space, the Tour will offer examples and ideas. Because the homes are located throughout the metro area, attendees can see what’s happening in their own neighborhoods or take a look at the innovations in other areas. The NARI contractor will be present at each home, so people can speak directly to the professionals who remodeled the home.”
NARI Atlanta has selected the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation to be the recipient of five percent of the Tour proceeds. “The Foundation has been making wishes come true for children for 30 years,” said Buelow. “In a way, NARI is in the business of making wishes come true for homeowners, so we thought the two organizations fit together nicely.”
The NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes will feature homes in Roswell, Marietta, Decatur, Chamblee, Buckhead, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs and will be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2. Attendees may visit the homes in any order, and can download a map at www.nariatlanta.org. The Tour will be held rain or shine.
