ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Chapter of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry, www.nariatlanta.org) will present the Second Annual Tour of Remodeled Homes, Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 1-2, 2011. Homes throughout metro Atlanta that have been remodeled by NARI member organizations will be open to the public from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday. Metro Mechanical, Inc. of Conyers, Ga., which provides heating and cooling systems for homes and commercial buildings, and Home Depot will present the Tour, and proceeds will be donated to the ALS Division of MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) www.als-mda.org. Stacey Elgin, FOX 5’s Road Warrior Reporter, will serve as the tour’s honorary chair.
“We are delighted to have Metro Mechanical and Home Depot serve as Presenting Sponsors of the NARI Atlanta Tour of Remodeled Homes, and welcome the ALS Division of MDA as our non-profit partner,” said Lou Alvarado, president of Handy Husband and president of NARI Atlanta. “With their support, we will again be able to showcase the variety of professional remodeling work done by NARI members, including kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor living spaces, whole home renovations, green improvements, universal design and much more. This year we have expanded the tour to encompass two days, so we can showcase a number of remodeled homes in neighborhoods throughout the metro area.”
Tour tickets will be available for purchase at http://atlantaremodelingtour.com or at the 2011 Fall Atlanta Home Show, Sept. 23-25, 2011 at the Cobb Galleria Centre (www.AtlantaHomeShow.com). Attendees may visit the homes in any order, and will be able to download a map from the NARI website. In addition to the Presenting Sponsors, the Tour is sponsored by Atlanta Home Improvement magazine, Oldcastle Surfaces, Inc. and the Atlanta Home Show, and will be held rain or shine.
