Description: This project increased the living space in this classic 1920s bungalow while maintaining the charm of its exterior so that it fit comfortably into the existing neighborhood. The existing roof structure was removed, and three bedrooms, two baths and a laundry room were added to the second floor. The den on the main floor was expanded, and a screened porch was added to the back of the home. The new master bathroom now features a large walk-in shower and under-floor heating. The high ceilings, large trim molding and tall windows maintain the original aesthetic of the home while allowing in plenty of natural light. While the home’s exterior still maintains the character of the neighborhood, the amount of interior space has actually doubled.
